I consider it a great privlege of my profession that I have had the oportunity to spend up-close and personal time with unique animals like Mocha. I was enormously impressed by her graceful, deliberate movements, curious nature and even her speed. No, sloths certainly won't win any land races, but as excited as she was by the presence of my myself and her keepers at Wildlife Associates, Mocha negotiated the rope "jungle" that dominates her enclosure with surprising speed and agility. She even made numerous attempts to hook one of her claws around my arm and try climbing me, after which I decided to keep a more comfortable distance.
