Long-Tialed Tit

How to buy
Though not exactly part of the “Modern Camouflage” series, this piece started with similar inspiration. In “Cursive,” the elegant long-tailed tit, my favorite British songbird, is “perched” on a flat and decorative stylized limb, creating a push and pull between the illusionistic and the flat that was at the core of the aforementioned series. Long-Tailed Tits, which have been described as “flying cotton balls with long tails” are both irresistibly cute and terribly elegant birds. Regardless of any other conceptual under-pining, the bird’s beautiful, subtle, pink-white-grey color palette is the primary subject of this painting.
