Purchasing Information:

Galleries:

Parties interested in work currently hanging with a gallery representing Andrew Denman should address all inquiries to the gallery in question unless otherwise noted. The gallery will handle payment, shipment, and all the other details. Andrew Denman only works with well-respected professionals, so you can rest assured you will receive the same quality of service from any of the galleries representing Andrew Denman as you would from the artist himself. You should, however, always acquaint yourself with the specific policies of the gallery in question prior to making a buying decision.

Special Events:

Parties interested in work currently available at a special events at a gallery, museum, or other entity should contact the venue in question first unless otherwise indicated. If, however, you have difficulty receiving information regarding availablity or how to make a purchase from any exhibitor, please feel free to contact the artist directly for clarification. Some event venues, such as museums hosting traveling shows like "Birds in Art," may not actively engage in sales and will only refer you to the artist anyway. Western Visions and some other musuem fundraisers are "bid intent to purchase" shows, meaning that you must contact the venue to register to bid by proxy or attend the event in person if you prefer (usually requiring tickets). Names of interested pruchasers are "drawn from a hat" and the winning bidder can then purchase the piece. Please don't be intimidated by this process. Such shows are not auctions, and you will not pay higher than the set retail price for the painting. If you do make a purchase through a third party, please note that the purchasing information below pertains specifically to Denman Studios. You should always acquaint yourself with the specific sales policies of the gallery, museum, or institution in question prior to making a buying decision.

Limited Edition Reproductions:

Limited editions produced by Denman Studios should be purchased directly through the artist. Anyone interested in purchasing prints should contact the artist by phone, e-mail, or a private message on Facebook. With the revolution on Giclee Printed processes, print stock is rarely kept in inventory, and most orders are printed on demand. As such, please allow for for two to four weeks for reciept of print orders, as they must be printed, shipped to the artist, signed, and delivered to your door. Please review the information posted on the Contact page if you wish to reach Denman Studios to make a purchase.

Andrew Denman is no longer actively represented by the Greenwich Workshop, though some of his editions are still open. A highly limited number of Artist Proofs of Greenwich Workshop backstock may still be available directly from Denman Studios, and Andrew welcomes your inquiries. If such prints are not available from the artist, you are welcome to contact the Greenwich Workshop online or by phone to find your nearest GW distributor.

Denman Studios Ordering and Shipping Policies:

Payment Methods: If you decide to purchase a painting, Denman studios will take payment in the form of a check, cashier’s check, or money order drawn upon a US bank only. You may use your credit card by paying through either Venmo or Paypal. Please note that you do not need to have a Paypal account to pay with a credit card through the Paypal service. If the piece you are buying is on public display, it will not be shipped to you until the run of the show is complete. Most pieces are available for immediate shipment. Layaways are available upon request.
Taxes: The state of Arizona does not charge sales tax on one-of-a-kind fine art items, so even in-state purchasers will not be required to pay slaes tax on originals. Purchasers in the state of Arizona will, however, need to pay the current Tucson, AZ sales tax rate on limited edition reproductions or other manufactured non-original products.
Shipping: Denman Studios ships via Federal Express. The buyer agrees to pay all actual crating, packing, and shipping costs at the time of the sale. As per your preference, the buyer may pay an estimated shipping fee up front or a separate invoice can be issued for exact shipping charges after the shipment. All invoices are payable upon receipt. If you prefer to use a different shipper, please indicate your preference at the time of purchase.
Approval: All sight unseen purchases are subject to buyer approval upon request. If the buyer is unhappy with the artwork upon receipt of shipment, the buyer must contact the artist within 48 hours to arrange return shipment. Artwork must be returned in the same condition it was received, by the same means, and in the same packaging in which it arrived (unless packaging has been damaged, in which case the artist must be notified prior to shipment). The buyer is responsible for all packing, crating, and shipping charges to and from.
In the Event of Damage: In the unlikely event that a painting is damaged during shipment, the buyer must notify the artist immediately. Buyers will not be made liable for damages incurred during shipping.
The Painting I Want is Already Sold: If you are in love with a painting but it has already sold, please contact me anyway. The "Sold" sign may only mean that a buyer has put a deposit on a painting. It's very rare, but checks can bounce or a buyer can simply change his mind. If that happens, the piece will be sold to the next interested party on my list, and that means I need to know your name, contact information, and the piece you want to buy. Additionally, while I am never willing to create an identical painting, it may be possible for you to commission a similar work, perhaps one even more specific to your particular tastes. I also keep a running list of "first rights of refusal," which I can offer to a client or potential client on the basis of subject, style, color palette, or whatever it was about the piece in question that drew your interest. If I know what you're looking for, I am happy to contact you the next time I happen to create a piece that fits your criteria. Unlike in the case of a commission, you've made no deposit and have no obligations to the artist; you simply get "first dibs" on new work that suits your tastes. If I can be of help, please call the studio or consult the Commission Policy Page by clicking HERE.
