“Every artist has his own opinion about commissions. Some refuse them entirely. Some take them on grudgingly for financial reasons. Other, like me, look at commissions as an opportunity to do something outside of the artist’s comfort zone. Certainly there are working parameters that both artist and commissioner must agree upon to keep the commission process enjoyable- and fruitful- but ultimately, the imposition of some limitations on the artist can be a great and driving force behind ingenuity, and ultimately, the joy of inspiration. This portfolio contains images of previously commissioned artwork. If you have your own idea for a commission, please visit the Commission Policy page and contact me directly." -Andrew Denman |
